This is an adapter to interface both a Gameboy (or -Color or -Advance) and their cartridge using standard 2.54mm (100mil) headers, either individually or as a man-in-the-middle sniffer/interceptor (using DIP switches to select which lines to pass through).

You should use ENIG coating to ensure better contact between the "board edge fingers" and your gameboy. If you don't, it shouldn't damage your gameboy, but the "fingers" will wear out and corrode faster.
