Raspberry Pi Open-Drain Breakout

Design by: croubie

A breakout board for any Rasberry Pi. Has: - a nominal 12V input, - a 12->5V regulator to power the Pi, - 10x Open-drain outputs with 10x 12V power pins, - 3x in/outputs directly connected to the Pi, - leaves the other row of pins on the Pi accessible for more inputs (eg with right-angle SIL connectors), - has footprints for a few 0805 capacitors if needed. Designed for FETs 2N7002BKW, which can handle 60V or 310mA (300mW total, with 1 Ohm RDSon). Using OKI-78SR-5/1.5-W36-C as the regulator, can take a voltage input of 7-36VDC. Power connectors are standard 3.81mm, eg Phoenix 1727094 which take up to 1.5mm^2 / 16AWG wire.
